Vigor Brown, stating: “On the depar tore of the Diomede from Napier, 1 wish to express to yon the thanks and appreciation of the officers and men of my flagship for the kindness and hospitality that has been shown to us by the citizens of jour town, which has made our stay so- enjoyable. ”
