RADIO INTERFERENCE
THE POSITION IN HASTINGS.
SOCIETY ACTIVELY COMBATING
TROUBLE
At a further meeting of the executive of the H.B. Radio Society held in Hastings last night the question of interference was again discussed at length. It was reported that certain motors in the town which had been giving trouble had been efficiently silenced, but there were several other sources which were still giving a great deal of trouble. It was pointed out that this trouble could be definitely eliminated, but that it was all a matter of eost of the necessary condensers to cut out the trouble. This cost averaged out at under 10/- per motor, but there wero quite a number to bo dealt with. The committee, in company with the dealers, decided to tackle the problem in earnest and it is hoped that eventually the town will be entirely free from interference.
It was decided to establish a central fund and ways and means of raising the money were fully discussed. A plan was evolved, and in the course of a few days, listeners concerned will be advised of the proposal and it is hoped that . the necessary assistance will be forthcoming.
