TWO MOHAMMEDANS SHOT IN CHITTAGONG AREA. (Received 11, 10.30 a.m.) Calcutta, March 10. Two Mohammedan villagers were shot dead by a military patrol eearching near Chittagong for terrorist absconders. The scene ot the shooting is a notorious area. The victims were behaving suspiciously and failed to halt when challenged. FRENCH POLICE COMMISSIONER SHOT BY TERRORISTS. (Received 11, 10.35 a.m.) Calcutta, March 10. M. Quin. French Commissioner of Police at Chandernagore, died this morning from a bullet wound inflicted by terrorists who attacked him after escaping from the house where he had attempted to arrest them. M. Quin was unarmed and pluckily tackled his opponents, who shot him point-blank, •Iso wounding an Indian constable and •n Indian passer-by.
