ELECTRICITY GRID SYSTEM. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 10, 10.30 a.m.) Rugby, March 8. The electricity grid system, which consists of a vast network of main transmission lines covering almost the whole of Britain, for distributing electricity in bulk from selected generating stations, will be substantially completed during the present vear. It was stated in Parliament that the total capital expenditure on its construction would be £27 million, exclusive of interest during construction.
