The Doukhobrs.
Peter Verigin, spiritual and temporal ruler of the Doukhobors in Canada, will request a Royal Commission to investigate the whole of the Doukhobor situation. He said at Winnipeg that if the request is refused he and 16,000 followers will parade in the nude from their western settlements to Winnipeg. Verigin is en route home from Halifax where he was released recently following a legal fight to prevent his deportation to Russia.
