WOMEN TEACHERS
HAWKE’S BAY BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. A very well attended meeting of the Hawke’s Bay branch of the New Zealand Women Teachers' Association was held at Napier on Saturday, Mis« Hannay presiding. An opportunity was taken to welcome Miss Barker, a visiting English teacher on exchange. Miss Parker was made an honorary member of the branch. Miss Hannay, presenting her report, stressed the need for greater co-opera-tion among women teachers. The president also regretted the loss to the branch of the Misses Cormack, Bain, Gibbs and McCarthy, who had either left the service or the district. The balance-sheet was presented and adopted. The following were elected as members of the executive for 1933.— President, Miss Hannay; vice-presi-dents, Misses Epps and Puflett; secretary and treasurer, Miss Tebbs; committee, Misses Banks, Bullen, Crumpton, Dewhirst, Gasson and Oxenham.
