German Legislation.
Cabinet has agreed to the main provisions of a new Act for the protection of the Republic, replacing the law which expires on December 31. It rescinds several drastic penalties, especially affecting terrorism and the liberty of the Press, although General Schleicher emphasised that he would deal drastically with excesses.
