Due to the mediation of the Minister of Labour, Mr. Creswell, Capetown’s tram and bus strike has ended after protracted week-end discussions, the men agreeing to the employers’ terms, which include immediate return to work without loss of status, no victimisation and non-recognition of the present union executive and shop stewards. Full services are being resumed to-morrow.
