Two Chinese gardeners, Wong Yet, aged 38, and Wong Chee, aged 31, were committed for trial at Auckland on a charge that being armed with an of-, fensive weapon, a knife, they robbed Chong Gin of £3l 10/-. Chong Gia said he was banker at a fantan game and Wong Chee grabbed the money from the table. Wong Yet, with knife upraised, told the others in the room not to interfere. All were frightened and did not attempt to follow the accused. The accused reserved their defence, bail being renewed. —Press Assn.
