STEADIER AT LOWER PRICES. FIRMNESS IN CHEESE. There was marked weakness last week in the London butter market, but it steadied at the close at tho lower range of prices. New Zealand first grade declined by 6/-, and finest by 4/- a cwt. during the week, closing at 96/- to 106/-, compared with 94/- to 96/- for Australian. The cheese market was Arm, prices for N.Z, white showing a rise of 1/6 to 2/- a cwt. during the week.
