BOWLING AND CROQUET
THE OMARANUI CLUB. A PLEASANT AFTERNOON. The Omaranui Croquet Club held a competitions afternoon on Thursday on their green, when a. very pleasant and enjoyable time was spent by a large number of players, including visitors from other greens, who were successful in winning several of the events. Tne various competitions and priaawinners were as follow:—Golf croquet. Mrs Logan (Port) 1, Mrs Pollock (Omaranui) 2; ono ball break, Mrs Clegg (Port) 1, Mrs Lee (Wairere) 2; angles, Mrs Sinclair (Wairere) 1; circles, Mrs Logan (Port) 1; skittles, Mrs T. B. McDonald 1; ladder, Mrs Paton 1. The competition for a duchess set was won by Mrs C. Cairns, Taradale. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the Croquet Club members and tho afternoon was voted one of the most enjoyable yet held by the club.
