COST OF ENTERTAINING. BANKRUPTCY EXAMINATION, London, October 13. “A first night party usually cost £4O because the guests always drank a lot,’’ said Diana Wilson, well-known actress, under examination in bankruptcy. Debtor’s liabilities are £2686 and her assets £56. She said she earned £5O a week in Australia, but did not save because she thought it would always continue. Miss Wilson attributed her failure to lack of regular engagements since 1926. ■ She had been entertaining beyond her means in 'the last three years, in which time she had spent £625 on entertaining. Sometimes she entertained twice a week and sometimes once a month. ’Diana Wilson gained most of her stage experience in Australia as a member of Lawrence Grossmith’s and Oscar Asche’s companies. She was leading lady to these stars, playing in “The Silver Fox,” “Captain Applejack’s Adventure,” and “Quarantine” with Grossmith.
