Mr Cooksey reported the progress of the farm troop at Rissington, which Was of a high order. Five boys, were at present in the camp, one having secured a position on a farm, while another was also taking up similar work shortly. The work done at the camp was thoroughly in keeping with the best traditions of scouting. One of the aims was to make the camp selfsupporting in the future, and wjth this object in view dairy cows, pigs and bees were to be kept, while various useful crops were being planted.' The boys were being initiated into shearing work, and it was hoped that, in a short time, farmers in this district would realise the value of the training given fo the boys at the Yarm. More boys were wanted to take up this scheme, said Mr Cooksey, and ap. proximately £BO was wonted to put the farm troop on its feet. On November 8 a Scout handicraft exhibition will be given in the Favourite Hall, while an entertainment has been arranged for the evening. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
