Poverty Bay Show In the sewing section of the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s show, Miss A. R. McLean, Havelock North, was second for embroidered d’oyley; third for guest towel; third for piece fancy work, not otherwise enumerated; first for prettiest throwover; second for tray cloth, white; highly commended for child’s handsewn nightdress. In the sewing section of the Wairarapa Show, Miss McLean was first for pillow sham; third for Richelieu embroidery, and v.h.c. 'for toilet set. Mrs A. G. Wells, (Hastings), was first and Miss D. E. Wakelin (Hastings), third for tatting.
