A petition from the Nelson fruitgrowers, asking that relief be given from absolute control under the Fruit Control Act, 1924, and that fruitgrowers be given the right of either selling or consigning outside the jurisdiction of the board, has been presented to Parliament. Petitions were also presented asking for the varying of the method of election of fruitgrowers’ representatives on the New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board, and the varying of the provincial representation on the board.
