In a comparative financial statement presented to the Waipawa Hospital Board yesterday the secretary (Mr P. R. Smyrk) shows that maintenance expenditure totalled £8033 13s 8d for the past six amonths, compared with the estimate of £8432 Ils lOd, which is based on half the estimate for the year. The principal items, with the half-year’s estimates in' parentheses, are: Administration, £428 'l6s (£562 10s); Waipukurau Hospital, £5670 8s 8d (£5880); Rathbone Maternity Hospital, social welfare, etc., £1934 9s. Maintenance receipts totalled £9013 15s 3d (£7428 7s), capital receipts £1073 11s 7t (£770 5s 6d) end capital expenditure £390 17s 7d (£561 7s 2d).
