The death has occurred in the Waikato Hospital of Mrs Ella Rickard, widow of the late Mr Hannibal Rickard, of Puketaha, at the age of 64 years. Mrs Rickard was spring-clean-ing at her home in Hukanui road, Claudelands, last Friday morning, and a step-ladder on which she was standing collapsed. Mrs Riskard fell and fractured her pelvis. She was alone in the house at the time and she lay on the floor for two and a-half hours before she was found by a neighbour. Mrs Rickard was removed to the Waikato Hospital, where an operation was performed, but she died on Monday.
