UPPER HOUSE APPOINTMENT. ELEVATION OF MR HABOLD JOHNSTON? (From our Special Parliamentary Reporter.) Parliament Buildings, Oct. 13. Notwithstanding authoritative indications that no fresh Legislative Council appointments will be made before the end of the session, 1 rumours were current last night that there was a strong possibility of the elevation of Mr. Harold Johnston, K.C.. being announced towards the end of the month, It is also stated that should Mr, Johnston be called to the Upper House he might be offered the AttorneyGeneralship.
