RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED TOTAL IX ALL CLASSES 3248 EXHIBITORS’ FINE RESPONSE Another record has been established In the number of entries which have been received for the Hawke’s Bav Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Spring Show, which is to be held on the Tomoana Showgrounds on October 19 and 20. The previous record was created last year with the figures nt 3114, but this year an improvement of 134 is shown, as the total number of entries over all classes stands at 3248. In taking into consideration the question of a record for the Society, the Boyal Show year of 1930 is disregarded. In that year the number of entries reached 3677, which, however, is only 429 more than it is this year. The principal increases to be found in the entries in the various classes at the forthcoming show are in the school and horse sections, where there are increases of 107 and 86 respectively, when a comparison is made with last year’s figures. Other classes do not vary to any great extent. This position may be regarded as ▼cry satisfactory when the difficulties of the farming community during the past few years are taken into account. It is duo in a large measure to the splendid season which has been experienced throughout the Hawke’s Bay district and to the loyal manner in which support has been given to the Society by its exhibitors in all classes. The following are the entries which lave been received for the Spring Shows of 1931 and 1932:—
