BODY FOUND IN IRON POT
AN ELDERLY MAN. William Oaken full. aged between 50 and 60 years, was found dead in the water in the Iron Pot, Port Ahuriri, this morning at 8.45 o’clock. Captain W. McDonald, of the lighter Norval, noticed the body lying in the water between the vessel and the West Quay. Constable Williamson, of the Port police, was informed of the fact, and he removed the body to the morgue. The indications were that the deceased had been dead about 12 hours. He was a single man. The police are making further enquiries.
