SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
AORANGI CLUB’S MEETING YESTERDAY'S' EVENTS The Hermitage, Aug. 30. The Aorangi ski championship meeting opened at Ball Glacier to-day in beautiful, sunny weather. The snow was rather soft in the morning but improved later in the day. Results:— Cross-country, seven miles.— T. W. Mitchell (Victorian Ski Club) 1, .H. Elworthy (Tasman) 2, P. Wood (Canterbury) 3, L. K. Murray (Tasman) 4. Time, 28 min. 18 sees. Ladies’ cross-country, four miles.— Miss Barker 1, Miss H. Montgomery 2, Miss Blunden 3, Mrs Edwards 4. Time, 34 min. 5-6 sec. Relay race.— Aorangi A 1, Tasman A 2, Tasman B 3.
