At tho Police Court at Dunedin, before Mr. W. 11. Bundle, S.M., William McKenzie, Thomas Wills Stewar t and Stewart Walter Muir •were charged with, on July 4, wilfully setlling fire to a-, shop and dwelling owned by McKenzie. Detective Power stated that he found some partly burned cotton wool amongst the cinders in tho shop. The accused, in statements, admitted tho offence, tho object being to obtain insurance money. The accused pleaded guilty and were committed for sentence.
