THE NEW TOWN HALL FURTHER CELEBRATIONS From Our Own Correspondent. Any doubt as to the need of the town hall in the district was dispelled last evening when the building was packed to overflowing, the occasion being the ball held in conjunction with the opening ceremonies of the new hall. Over 200 couples were on the floor and the stage was packed with onlookers. The floor was in excellent condition and the music, supplied by Les Henry’s orchestra left nothing to be desired. The supper was a feature of the evening, being very kindly donated by the ladies of Taradale. Hie tables were artistically decorated by Mrs F. L. Anderson and Miss Rita Martin’ spring flowers and japonica being very effectively used A strong committee of ladies under the direction of Mis P D. Kelly were responsible for carrying out the supper arrangements. The duties of M.C.’s were capably carried out by Messrs R L. Badley, T B McDonald and G. Coyle.' ’ Extras were played by Mesdames Kelly King and Miss Hunt. This afternoon commencing at 4 o'clock and closing at 8, the juveniles will have the floor for their part of the celebrations when plain and fancy dress will be worn.
