The jury at Wellington awarded £347 4/7 special damages and £325 general damages in a claim arising out of a collision at the Newtown intersection wherein Mrs Irene Addis Smith was knocked down and injured by a car driven by Mrs Caroline Priscilla Purdie. Mr Justice MacGregor refrained from entering judgment for Mrs Smith in the meantime, pending argument on a non-suit point.
