WANGANUI BURGLARIES
FOUR MEN ADMIT CHARGES. OMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. Wanganui, July 29. Eighteen burglaries which have occurred in Wanganui since December last were cleared up at the Magistrate’s Court to-day, when four young men pleaded guilty to charges brought by the police. They were committed for sentence to the Supreme Court at Wanganui on August 8. The accused were: Herbert Vivion Buttley, aged 23, a labourer; Thomas Butler, 30, farmer; Victor Robert Ward, 24, and Clarence Davey, 24, labourer. There were 17 charges of butglary against Buttrey, 12 against Ward, two against Butler and two against. Davey. There was also one charge against Davey of receiving stolen goods. The total value of the property Stolen was £143.
