Advices from Sydney state that the principal board of the A.M.P. Society, after giving consideration to tl;e question of reducing the rate of interest payable on property mortgages to the society, decided to accept from existing and future mortgagors for a period of two years interest at a maximum rate of 51 per cent, instead of the rates now payable under its mortgages. —Press Association.
