ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
By Telegraph—Press Association As a result of a collision between .two cars yesterday at an intersection in the Woodlands district, Lorna Mclntyre, aged four, a daughter of Mr J. E. Mclntyre, of Longbush, received injuries from which she died in hospital two hours later. Charles Gutschlag, aged 40, with four children, a railway surfaceman, was run over by a trolly at Otamita, near Gore, this morning and lost his life. In conducting a chemical experiment on his own initiative in the laboratory at the Otago Boys’ High School after school yesterday, David Cumberbeach, aged 14, received injuries to his right hand when a mixture exploded. The boy is a member of the Camera Club and was apparently mixing potassium chlorate with some oxidisable substance. He was taken to hospital but it is understood that he will suffer nu permanent injury.
