Napier Retailers’ Meeting. A meeting of members of tho Napier Retailers’ Association was held in the Trocadero tea-rooms yesterday morning, and was presided over by tho chairman, Air R. 0. Wright. Some discussion took place regarding the Hawke’s Bay shop assistants’ award, when a sub-commit-tee, representative of all traders, was set ujj wPh a view to revising the award and, if possible, trying to bring it. more in lino with present day conditions. The sub-committee is to make its report at. a meeting to bo called at a later date Tho chairman asked all retailors to attend the public meeting to bo held on Wednesday next, when consideration would be given to details of the proposed carnival to be held to mark the opening of ths new Napier.
