Proposed Cricket Tour. The proposed southern tour of the Hawke’s Bay representative cricket eleven early next season is now receiving full consideration by prospective members of the team and representatives of the various cricket clubs, who are devising ways and means of raising the sum of approximately £2OO. In addition to a dance which is to be held probably some time in October, a benefit Rugby football match is to be played in Napier on October 1. The Hastings and Esk sub-associations will assist in the raising of funds and, judging by the enthusiasm of all concerned, there seems little doubt that the required sum of money will be raised.
The three-year-old Aga Khan, for merly trained by M. J. Carroll, is now being prepared by C. Jackson at Hawera. Aga Khan is a good stamp of gelding by Chief Ruler and he had a reputation when raced in Auckland, whfre his best performance was to win ill novice company at Te Kuiti.
