Won by a length and a-quarter; a length between second and third. Time, 2.55 1-5, TRIAL HANDICAP. I 1 Black Songster 1 5 Kahunoke 2 2 Bird Call 3 All started. Won hy one and aquarter lengths; a length between second and third. Time, 1.16 1-5, . WAIKANAE HANDICAP. 7 Head Serang 1 2 Orby’s Choice 2 3 Teller 3 Scr.: Toboggan. Won by half a length; a quarter of a length between second and third. Time, 1.46 3-5. SECOND HACK HANDICAP. 1 Rasouli 1 6 Nyght Speaker 2 4 Beverage 3 Scr.: Good Idea, Stitch, Princess Star, Bird Call. Won by a length and aquarter; three-quarters of a length between second and third. Time, 1.34 2-5.
TE HAPARA STEEPLECHASE. 3 Neil 1 5 Jen 2 7 Harrogate ••, 3 Scr.: Freehold, Tall Timber. Won by two lengths; two and a-half lengths between second and third. Time, 5.28. TURANGANUI HANDICAP. 2 Sunny Bachelor 1 1 Black Songster 2 3 Bothwell 3 Ser.: Hunter’s Moon. Won by a nose; length and three-quarters between second and third. Time, 1.17 1-5. FAREWELL HANDICAP. 5 Teller 1 3 Orby’s Choice 2 4 Sunny Song 3 Scr.: Manifesto, Sunglow, Aiguille, Good Idea, Hawthorn, Princess Star. Won by a length and a-quarter. Time, 1.18. The titalisator handled £4922 for the day, and for the meeting £8317 10s, an increase on the day of £65, and a decrease for the meeting of £651 10s.
