A Tennis Family.
Mrs Randolph Lycett and H. W. Austin, who were beafen by C. E. Mai. froy and Mary Heeley in the second round of the mixed doubles at Wimble, don,. are sister and brother, but this tournament at Wimbledon was the first tournament in which they had ever played together. Mrs Lycett was Joan Austin before she married Randolph Lycett, who played for Australia in Davis Cup tennis before the war and for Great Britain after the war. Randolph Lycett has been a doubles champion at Wimbledon, and, with Elizabeth Ryan, a mixed doubles cahmpion, but his wife has never won a championship there, although she reached the final of the women’s doubles in 1923.
