WAIRARAPA DEFEATS BUSH
A RAGGED GAME. FOURTEEN POINTS TO THREE. Carterton, July 9. Wairarapa defeated Bush 14—-3. The ground was wet, aud there was a slight drizzle. There was no score in the first half. It was a ragged game mainly confined to the forwards, with occasional flashes of brilliant back play by Wairarapa. A sensational try came when Wairarapa was defending the line Fitzgerald secured, ran half way and passed to Stringfellow, who raced under the poles. Wairarapa scored four tries and one was converted. Bush scored one try.
