LATE CABLES IN BRIEF. Banana Plantations Ruined. A message from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, states that all the banana plantations in the Sula Valley, between Chameecon and San Pedro, were destroyed on Monday night by a hurricane. Doukobors Sent to Island. Eight hundred Doukobors, fanatical Russian settlers, who are serving three years’ imprisonment each for nude parading, are to bo placed on D'Arcy Island, a former leper colony off the British Columbia coast. Violet Sharpe’s Death. A message from Englewood, New Jersey, states that the death certificate of Violet Sharpe was filed on Tuesday, stating that she was married. The name of her husband is unknown. It was the first intimation that the girl was married.
