HAWKE’S BAY EXECUTIVE. BUSINESS OF THE MONTH. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association was held in Napier yesterday, when Mr John Harding presided over Messrs J. N. Barrie, L. J. Mackersey, C. H. Critchley, W. G. F. Frame, E. E. Stubbs, T. 11. Ringland. The following branch returns were adopted: — Dannevirke branch, pay ments £306 13s Id, receipts £234 9s 3d; Hastings, £l4O 10s, £l3B 2s 8d; Takapau £45 12s 4d, nil; Waipukurau, £37 17s 3d, £lO4 2s; Woodville, £3 14s 3d, £3 ss; Wairoa (April) nil, £9 Is 8d; Napier, £4OB 7s lid, £l6l 18s sd; totals, £942 14s lOd and £650 19s

The secretary’s report showed that payments since last meeting totaled £1073 16s Bd, made up as follows: Grants to soldiers and dependants, £467 15s 9d; loans to soldiers, £317 Us 8d; payments on account of other societies, £62 2s 3d; payments made on account of Blake’s property, £226 7s. Receipts totalled £679 Bs, comprising: Loans refunded by soldiers. £555 Is 4d; refunds on account of other societies, £53 15s 7d; interest on loans to soldiers, £7O Ils Id.
