WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
THE MANGAORAPA BRANCH. The meeting of the Mangaorapa Women’s Instituo was held recently, Mrs A. H. Hope presiding over a goou attendance. An interesting demonstration on ■‘the making of baskets” was given by Miss Sargisson, ably asisted Uy Mrs Somerville. This was greatly appreciated, each member showing keen interest. The competition “most useful article made from ono yard of cretonne” brought fortl : varied collection, Mrs Houseman winning first place, and June Davidson second. A dainty afternoon ten was „-iv<-d bv Mrs Connell and Mrs Nolde.
