CLAIM FOR DAMAGES
WRIT ISSUED AGAINST MR LANG. ALLEGED SLANDER. Sydney, June 7. The Premier, Mr Stevens, has issued a writ against the cx-Premier, Mr Lang, claiming £5OOO damages for alleged slander arising out of a report ed statement by Air Lang that Mr Stevens’ transport policy was fashion, ed in such a way as to servo the financial interests of a wealthy bus owner who was providing Mr Stevens with a driver for his car during the election campaign.
