HAWKE’S BAY COMMITTEE MEETS. ROUTINE BUSINESS TRANSACTED. The annual meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Licensing Committee was held at the Hastings Court-house this afternoon, Aft. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., presiding over Messrs. A. Rosenberg, F. C. Wilkinson, J. D. Donovan, F. King, and Foster Brook. C. L. Crooks asked for the permanent transfer of the Grand Hotel license to T. J. Bennett.—Granted. S. Kauter made application for a new license for Puketitiri—Granted. Applications for the renewal of licenses were made as follow:—S. R. Standing, Albert Hotel, Hastings; J. A. Donne, Carlton Club Hotel, Hastings; A. M, Herbert, Hastings Hotel, Hastings; P. I'. Higgins, Pacific Hotel, Hastings; E. A. Grenside, Stortford Lodge Hotel, Hastings; A. G. Smith, Fernhill Hotel; C. P. Cosgrave, BayView Hotel; R. Donald, Puketapu Hotel; E. J. Nash, Frasertown Hotel; Walter Hill, Tarawera Hotel; Ellen Fisher, Putorino Hotel; and T. Delaney, Maru Maru Hotel.—All granted. "Wholesale licenses were applied for by J. A. Weathered, E. Newbigin, de Pelichet, McLeod and Co., Ltd., and C. L. V. Vidal, all of Hastings.— Granted. Application for a temporary license was made by A. 11. McCarthy, of tho Mohaka Hotel, and also by J. A. Pothan, of the Te I’ohue Hotel.— Granted for three months. 'lire meeting was then adjourned. ,
