UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT CANTERBURY’S EASY WIN. Wellington, March 29. With the deciding of the tennis championships the 1932 University tournament ended. Canterbury’s clear victory in the tennis matches gave it a nine point lead over Auckland in the competition for the tournament shield. Victoria College is third and Otago, who scored eight points, becomes first winners of the new wooden spoon. Points are as follow, being given in the order t>f Canterbury, Auckland, Victoria, Otago. In the doubles C. Angas and H. Dymond beat F. A. Seay and J. 11. W. Sheppard, 6—2, 6—2. The women’s singles were won by Miss E. Rudking (who had previously
