An Unusual form of mustering was witnessed by a number of people in the neighbourhood of Waikanae heach last week, when the Gisborne ETarbour Board’s launch set out in pursuit of four cattle escapees from a shipment intended for the West Coast. Of the four beasts, three were finally headed back to land, and came ashore still full of energy after a swim of about four miles. The fourth sank some distance from the shore, exhausted bv its efforts to stay with ils companions in an element in nbi'-h all four must hare had but little experience.
