One gentleman dur ing 38 days’ fishing at Rotorua obtain ed 267 fish averaging 2Jlb on the fly. Rivers are low in the Whakatane and Opotiki districts, but the fish are improving in condition. The fishing and tho Condition of the fish are improving. Ono angler secured his limit fly fishing four days in succession. Fish ing in the Tougariro river generally is proving hard, though there has been a small run of fresh fish. One angler took seven well-conditioned fish from the Log Pool, the largest 811 b. The Hatepe and Waitahanui are fishing well at times but the results are patchy. Dry fly fishing on the Waikato has in the main proved disappointing. Launch
