THE PRICE OF SILVER. Silver is quoted at spot l/7f and forward 1/7 5-10 per ounce. KAURI TIMBER COMPANY. HEAVY LOSS FOR YEAR. Melbourne, Dec. 10. A trading loss of £10,408 is disclosed in the accounts of the Kauri Timber Company, Ltd., for the twelve months ended August 31. The directors, in the circumstances,regret their inability to pay a dividend. Less £282: brought forward from August, 1930, 'the total debit now carried forward amounts to £10,126. Stock, are shown at-valuation £192,753. The company’s operations in the pre vious year resulted in a profit of £18,043, in respect to which a dividend of two and a half per cent was paid. Mr John Bishop' was ro-elccted to the directorate.
