FOND OF LAMB

WHAT CHRISTCHURCH CONSUMES. According to the “Christchurch Times” the consumption of lambs in nferistchurch is greater than that of any other city in the Dominion. Our contemporary says:— The number of fat lambs that went through the Addington saleyards for local consumption during the months of September, October and November was 4590, as compared with 3282 for the same period last season. As the freezing season has opened the yardings of fat lamb- will now be mainly purchased for export, but the total number of lambs killed for local consumption for the four mouths up to Christinas will be considerably larger than for the same period of last year. Farmers are now realising the profitable nature of this early lamb trade.
