UNEMPLOYMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. . The Havelock North Unemployment Committee met this morning to discuss the possibilities of providing some extra relief for the Xmas, season. It was decided to take steps immediately to ascertain whether some portion of the £15,000, which the Unemployment Board has allocated for extra relief, would be made available locally. In the meantime Havelock residents are requested to give all possible assistance in the way of providing further employment for those who are on rationed work, so that the outlook for tho festive season mayo be, to some extent, brightened.
