NEWS AND NOTES. All levelling work on the Domain is now complete, and the result is a surprisingly fine area for recreation. Thu bank on the Te Mata road side of the Romain, with its shady trees and elevation, provides an excellent grand stand. Tho flooding of tho ground with the water from the baths is proving very beneficial; the grass is coming away well. It is proposed to hold evening athletic meetings on the new grounds shortly.
