Backward Season.
Exporters have not got into their stride in securing drafts of fat lambs in the Manawatu, owing to the season being exceptionally late. Very few first drafts have been lifted yet, their season being weeks behind Hawke’s Bay. From recent reports, the weather has now become more genial and lambs should soon improve, as they thrive in warmth and sunshine.
