BROADCAST ADVISORS

COUNCIL NOMINATIONS. SENT TO MINISTER. The Wellington nominations for membership on the New Zealand Broadcasting Advisory Council have been sent forward to the Minister, and it is understood (states the “Dominion”) include Mr. J. H. Owen, president of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Listeners’ League, Professor I. Sutherland, of the Workers’ Educational Institute, and Messrs. Byron Brown, H. F. Wood and Proctor. Tho Auckland nominations were selected by ballot at a meeting of the Auckland Listeners’ League last week. They include Messrs. A. B. Chappell, I. Meltzer, T. T. Garland, H. B. Arthur, and Dr. G. do Clive Lowe. The council will consist of eight, five representing the North Island and three the South Island. The members will hold office for three years.
