ACTIVITIES OF INSPECTORS THE MONTH OF OCTOBER The following are the reports of the inspectors of the Hawke's bay Raobit Board Trusses for the month of October:— Inspector Cuff.—Matamu: Killed two on scenic reserve and one on W. Rose’s. Killed one on school reserve, traces and started one on Sargent’s and killed one on cemetery reserve. Piripiri: Killed two on Chisnel’s and one on Bloos’. Slight signs on Nicholson’s started one on hatchery reserve. Matamu: Killed one on Carr’s and started another. Killed one and got nest of seven on cemetery reserve. Killed three on showgrounds at Dannevirke, started one and saw traces on Quarterman's and saw 4 signs on Gregg’s. Also signs on Barker’s. Umutaroa: Killed one on Lloyd’s, one on abattoir property, traces on Freicbend’s and killed one on Crown lands up Tamaki river. Killed one and saw traces on Puke-Aatua. Tahoraite: Killed four on Native Block and saw traces on Guerin’s and McCulloch’s. Oringi: Started one on Gaisford’s, traces on E. Knight’s and started two and saw traces on Beatson’s. Signs on Earl’s. Woodville: Traces on Jackson’s and Morgan’s. Traces on Flemming’s and Jackson’s. Killed one on Norman’s, one on Mac. kay’s and signs on Armitage’s. Killed one on Blackford’s, signs on Cairn’s and started two on Cunningham’s. Started one on Oxenham’s, two on Clarke’s (senior). Killed two on AlexMcKay’s, traces on E. Hardinge’s and started two on John Hardinge’s. Oringi: Started one and saw t-aces on Alf Herbert’s. Traces on W. Galloway’s. Woodville: Traces and started one on McPhail’s, started one on Bunting’s and saw traces on Dickens’ and Cattenach’s. Started two on Red’s and one on Doyle’s. Traces on F. Johansen’s. Started one and saw traces on Geo. Cammock’s. Traces on Beagley’s, started one there, also on Inglis’, John Ilardinig’s and A. Young’s. Started one on Scally’s, killed one on Goodwin’s, signs on Morgan’s and Arlidge’s. Killed one on R. Smith’s and started two on Botton’s. Saw one on Marboy’s and saw slight signs on Beaumond’s and Richard’s. Maharahara: Traces on the Douglas Galloway estate. Signs on Powell’s.

Inspector Campbell.—Signs and killed one on Edward’s. Got a nest with seven on Craig’s and killed three runners on Jull’s. Signs and killed two on the big island, saw five on W. A. Couper’s and killed one on Scheele’s. Saw one on August’s. Signs and killed three old rabbits and four runners on Greenwood’s and saw three on Mangatapere. Signs and killed one on Crampton’s, saw one on Ryan’s and signs on Beecham’s. Saw signs on McCauley’s, Watson’s and Bibby’s. Signs on Dick William’s, Waipuna Sta tion and in two places on Springbush and killed one on Mangakuri adjoin ing. Signs in two places and killed one on Peacock’s and Brodie’s. Killed two on Shadbolt’s and saw three on Waipoapoa. Signs on St. Lawrence Station and on J. S. McLeod’s. Signs on Watt’s. Saw one at the concrete works at Waipawa and at the back of the saleyards, Waipukurau. Signs and killed four in a lane opposite Allen’s at Hatuma. Killed one at the homestead on Arlington’s. Killed two on Jack Todd’s. Signs, killed one and got a nest of six on Oakbourne's. Signs and saw five on Hutana’s. Signs in various places and saw eleven on Miss Lambert’s.
