During the time of the Earthquake Relief, a grey tweed suit of clothes, among other garments, was sent 7—a Wellington through the Red Cross Society. It is thought that a Gold Cigarette Case with “S.A.L. ” mono, gram on front was left in one of the pockets. The original owner of the cigarette case is now deceased, and as his son places a high sentimental value on the case which was a presentation gift to his father, he asks that should this notice come under the attention of any persons who happened to find it among the clothing, he would very greatly appreciate hearing from them.
