SHIPMENTS OF MEAT
CORRECTED FIGURES. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises a cable correction in the figures previously supplied in its Press communique of 11th instant, giving monthly shipments of meat to the United Kingdom for July. The correction concerns South American mutton, the correct figure being 160,091 carcases, not 390,091 as previously advised. The complete figures aB amended, now read as follows: — Australia: Carcases mutton 147,404, carcases lamb 119,525, quarters beef 104,627. South America: Carcases mutton 160,091, carcases lamb 183,641, quarters beef (frozen) 2444, quarters beef (chilled) 513,425. Included in the South American figures are 42,838 carcases of lamb and 86,388 catcases Of mutton shipped from Patagonia. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as follows Carcases mutton 230,717. carcases lamb 602,406, quarters beef 7075. The shipments from South America to the Continent of Europe during the same period were as follows:— mutton 407 tons, frozen beef 3387 tons.
