WHEAT INDUSTRY
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE SUGGESTED. (United Press Association—By Cable— Copyright.) Ottawa, Jan. 21. The summoning of an International Wheat Couierence by Canada at the earliest possible moment was asked for by delegates at tho annual convention of the United Farmers held at Alberta. it is suggested that the conference should consist of representatives of all wheat exporting countries with tlio aim oi stabilising wheat production and export prices in order to enable the growers to meet the cost of production and obtain a reasonable profit. Delegates requested tho Canadian Government to take over the 1930 wheat crop paying the producers in wheat certificates which will lie redeemable in wheat and receivable in payment of taxes.
